SCLÉIP! 2008: Talent Show For Irish-Medium Post-Primary Schools

January 28, 2008

GAELSCOILEANNA TEO. is delighted to announce dates and arrangements for Scléip 2008.

Scléip is the national talent competition catering specifically for Irish-medium and Gaeltacht post-primary schools. The competition is divided into eight different categories: Pop/Rock music, Singing (Individual), Traditional Music (Individual), Traditional Music (Group), Creative Dance (Individual), Creative Dance (Group), Drama/Mime and  Miscellaneous.

The competition began in 2005 and it has grown steadily since then. This year for the first time, the regional heats of Scléip will be sponsored by four third-level colleges, one in each province. GAELSCOILEANNA TEO. is extremely grateful to the colleges for their generosity. We believe that  third level links to the competition will help to forge a stronger relationship between the Irish-medium post-primary and third level sectors, allowing the pupils to learn about the various courses available in and through the medium of Irish.
