Work underway on new building for Tuam Gaelscoil

Contractors have started excavation works for the development at Vicars choral, and it’s expected that the overall project will take about 30 weeks to complete.
The new 12 classroom school will cater for up to 200 pupils – with seven mainstream teachers as well as resource and learning support teachers.
The Department of Education confirmed the new building in June 2014 following a long-running local campaign.
However, construction was delayed for a year because of a legal issue regarding access, and pupils attended the temporary school at Tuam Community Centre.
Galway East Independent TD Sean Canney says it was a difficult campaign for all involved.

Applicants must have 3 years experience working in a childcare setting and must be able to deliver a quality educational programme to the ECCE children in their care, meeting the child’s developmental, social and emotional needs.
