Gaelscoil Mhúscraí make the Eircom Junior Spider Award shortlist

An Foras Pátrúnachta would like to congratulate Gaelscoil Mhúscraí, Co Cork, who have been shortlisted for the eircom Junior Spider Awards 2014.
“We are very excited today to learn that we have been shortlisted for the 2014 eircom Junior Spider Awards,” said a school spokesperson.
“These awards recognise excellent use of the internet and IT in school blogs and websites. We are very proud of this achievement and it really encourages us in our blogging.”
The eircom Spider Awards, have honoured Irish individuals and organisations for their outstanding online achievements since 1996.
In 2009 the eircom Junior Spider Awards were established by ‘Business & Finance’ and eircom, to honour primary and post primary students in the same way.
The aim of Junior Spider Awards is to acknowledge innovative web creators in schools and encourage teachers/students to develop their technology skills through exciting programs.
The Junior Spider Awards act as a catalyst for students who wish to pursue a career in digital media and the Irish internet sector.
The Eircom Junior Spider awards will be held on Tuesday 29 April, in The Foundry, Google, Beaver St., Dublin 1.
