Na Naíonraí Gaelacha – Annual Conference

Na Naíonraí Gaelacha holds an annual conference every year in November and organise interesting lectures and seminars. The 2015 Conference was held on the 2nd and 3rd November in Athlone. The 2016 Conference and AGM will be held on the 7th and 8th of October in the Kilmurray Lodge in Limerick.

Tá tréimhse iarratais Fulbright oscailte anois! Cuireann dámhachtainí Fulbright maoiniú agus tacaíocht riaracháin ar fáil do shaoránaigh Éireannacha agus do shaoránaigh Eorpacha (lonnaithe in Éirinn ar feadh ar a laghadh 3 bliana) ar mhaithe le staidéar, taighde nó teagasc sna Stáit Aontaithe. Tá gach iarratas le bheith istigh faoi 28 Deireadh Fómhair 2016.

We are pleased to announce that a new season of the popular monthly musical gatherings, ‘Siamsaíocht@6!’ will commence on Thursday, 20 October 2016 in Powerscourt Townhouse Theatre – details to follow in due course!
In the meantime, if you’re about town on Culture Night, Friday, 16 September 2016, call into Wood Quay Venue, Civic Offices, Dublin 8 from 5p.m. – 8p.m., where excerpts from the film Mise Éire will be shown, along with performances from the traditional music group, ‘Círéib’, winners of Siansa Gael Linn 2016.

Tobshlua 1916 is a bilingual dramatical representation of the cultural and linguistic
revolution in Ireland leading up to 1916 Easter Rising. Crammed with snippets and
sections of orations, songs and poetry based on the work of the Gaelic League from
that period, An Eilifint sa G.P.O. questions our Gaelic identity in the Ireland of today.
Only a small group of actors is required to stage this flashmob on the spot as it were
while drawing in the audience. Suitable for street performance at festivals, as a
precursor to plays or as soul lunch in schools, shopping centres and public buildings.
A joint venture by An Lab and Oifig Ghaeilge Chomhairle Contae Chiarraí.
